I absolutely love Chubblegum overall, and the majority of the characters have been fantastic. They're fun, creative, and exactly the kind of lighthearted escape I look forward to.
That said, Lucipurr just isn't for me. I completely understand that plenty of collectors enjoy the character, but a design with satanic or occult themes feels like a bold choice for an item that's automatically included in every subscriber's box. With such a diverse customer base, I think something that could be polarizing might be better suited as an optional release instead of a club-exclusive item.
I also received a previous box that included a Lucipurr-themed folder, so getting another Lucipurr-themed item so soon felt a bit repetitive.
I'd love to see more of the characters that have broader appeal, especially around Halloween. More Boo Boo Crew, bats, ghosts, or even more Stabby Foxes would be amazing. Those are the kinds of designs that made me fall in love with Chubblegum in the first place, and I'd be excited to see more of them in future boxes.
I love all my chubblegum plushies and Luci is no different. He has a great texture and is just squishy enough to cuddle. Plus he doesn't actually scratch or bite like breathing cats do when you try to sleep on them. Buy Luci-purr. Give in to the plush. You know you want to.
